Simply put, Abby’s role is to drive us to be as efficient and effective as possible while maintaining positive relations with customers, employees and the leadership team. With the help of our awesome team she sets the strategic goals for BlueMoon RV and collaborates with key staff to achieve those goals.
She has experience in operations management in challenging and changing environments while transforming business to perform at maximum efficiency and quality. Abby loves dogs, horses, and just about anything she can take care of.
Abby also enjoys playing piano, cooking, reading and
doing things outside such as landscaping or gardening.
Abby's dream retirement gig is "Sleeping till noon then sitting in a
tikki hut and playing piano in a place that never gets cold"
She was hired part-time / short term to come in to help get things organized. After one month, not only did she accomplish the organization, but proved she had so much more to contribute. From time to time a great employee literally falls into your lap, thus Adrienne became our Office Manager.
With an amazing ability to keep this team of intense and passionate individuals working harmoniously, she has taken over servicing our storage clients, accounts payable and works to achieve our strategic goals. Her outside service in Scouting has prepared her well.
Like Radar in M.A.S.H., she anticipatess needs in advance. She is tough as nails and very kind hearted. This lady has trekked 85+ miles of Philmont Scout Ranch and is not afraid to grab a drill and fix something.
Rodney has over 30 years of experience in complete RV repair. His tenacious pursuit of providing the highest level of RV service and constant learning established Blue Moon as a trusted repair center. He is the guy who always reads the manual, terms & conditions and fine print not until he finishes them, but until he understands every word. Don't think this slows him down though.
If you have met him, you know that he goes 100mph all the time. He has also accomplished Master Certification with the RVIA-RVDA. Rodney has been recognized as an expert witness in the State of Texas & Florida. He served as past chair of the Education Committee for the Texas Recreational Vehicle Association (TRVA). Rodney has spoken at RV parks, RV Shows and RV Conventions on what he has experienced as a technician.
When not working he enjoys pursuing his inner Angus Young, RVing, concerts and cooking with his wife Abby.
Robert is a Master Certified Blue Moon RV veteran with over 20 years of experience working for the company who has recently taken over as our Parts Department Manager!
Robert’s father repaired appliances and passed his aptitude for service and troubleshooting to Robert.
Robert treats others as himself, always going above and beyond when it comes to his work.
He is a voracious learner and dedicated family man.
He is also the kind of person who would make a fusion reactor out an old microwave, a package of toothpicks and gorilla glue … for fun.
How would we describe JJ? He is a master technician, with experience at one of Texas’ premier high end coach manufacturers Foretravel, is a CDL driver and experienced repairing heavy equipment.
With a sense of humor drier than the Mohave and like a sniper with the one liners, he keeps us on our toes. His calm personality and rare pairing of people skills and technical knowledge make him an excellent addition to the team. We appreciate his high standards and no nonsense manner.
In his spare time he enjoys sports, working out and the occasional margarita.
Angie is the 2nd Hurwitz to join the Blue Moon RV team, (we are now up to three). You may recall her son Josh worked with us while in high school. He has since graduated and is at college studying rocket science or something brilliant like that. It is no surprise as the apple didn't fall far from the tree! Imagine not just getting to work with her son but now we get to experience the woman who raised him. We are amazed at the talent that we are graced with. Her original career goal was to be an astronaut. During the Pre-Elon Musk downsizing of the space industry, she altered her degree of study to computer science.
She is dauntless on the frontlines answering our constantly ringing phone. She personally documents every call and meets daily with our Service Manager to review those callers and triage the most in need. An awesome mom and co-worker, she can do it all from a helping hand in the shop to answering the constantly ringing phone while keeping our software functioning.
This guy......an amazing find. He understands generators so well we're sure there is voodoo at work at times! He is tough on himself and an incredibly fast learner. After he received his Onan certification, he diagnosed a generator that had been in another shop for 3 weeks and had it up and running in a week. This makes him a favorite of our commercial clients. His other specialty is what we call "big jobs" requiring multi-stage repair. Technicians generally thrive from the sense of completion in fixing a problem. Not every tech can excel at performing extensive work such as structural and slide floors. Imagine removing everything in a slide and getting it re-assembled in the same way. These are only a couple of reasons he is such valuable a team member.
Danny was the first apprentice to our DOL program. He has been with us 2 years and is JJ's apprentice. He is now certified on Onan, Propane, Truma, LCI, he has also learned and performed extensive chassis repair, new installs, and has been a key player on almost every extensive structural slide repair during his tenure. He is an avid gamer and animal lover. You can usually find Mo following him around waiting for a chance to clean up lunch crumbs or lick his face while he is on the creeper.
Jaxon is our Awesome Australian import. This guy is cool as they come. How can he not be when he comes from a continent known for having so many deadly critters? While he never took on a great white or handled venomous snakes, he has been welding since his early teens. He came up through the apprentice pathway in Australia and is one of our resident metal fabrication experts. He also has the ability of saying just about anything and getting away with it due to his super awesome accent.
He started as a porter with us and transitioned into our apprentice program. Since becoming an apprentice, he spent his first year at Robert's side, (20-year RV repair veteran and mobile tech), and with our founder and leader Rodney, (30-year industry veteran). He is Onan certified as well as logging many hours on Aqua-Hot during our extreme winter. When not hitting it hard at Blue Moon RV he and his wife enjoy traveling and working on furniture restoration.
